National Pension - Ho-Seung Son – 6’ (Coreia do Sul) - WORLD PREMIÈRE
Selecção do prestigiado Festival de Bifan, esta curta-metragem da autoria de Ho-Seung Son combina a imaginação com um trauma nacional que vem de 1948, quando a população de uma ilha foi dizimada. Agora, a população tem de sobreviver até aos 90 anos para poder ser rejuvenescida, de volta aos 20 anos. Mas, de facto, a população nunca chega a essa idade... O realizador So Ho-seung tem mais de 30 prémios e selecções internacionais, nomeadamente nos festivais de Chicago e Nova Delhi. Apresenta também em competição no Fantasporto 2026 a curta “ Restaurant MSG”.
Selected by the prestigious Bifan Festival, this short film by Ho-Seung Son combines imagination with a national trauma dating back to 1948, when the population of an island was wiped out. Now, the population must survive until the age of 90 in order to be rejuvenated back to the age of 20 years old. But, in fact, the population never reaches that age... The director Ho-Seung Son has more than 30 awards and international selections, notably at the Chicago and Delhi film festivals. He also presents “Eumbok Restaurant MSG” in competition at Fantasporto 2026.

An influencer presents a new miracle kettle that heats water much faster than others and will try it out in front of everyone. To do so, she needs volunteers to wear the “cap of honour”. The chosen one is a poor devil. Surrounded by misery, the influencer talks about the joy and honour of doing that experiment. A satire on modern life.

Poeira - Mateus Lana - 20’17’’ (Brasil)- WORLD PREMIÈRE
O professor Adalberto, de coração partido, aspira ser poeta e aguarda a resposta de um editor ao seu trabalho. Mas o livro é rejeitado. O escritor falhado rasga o texto em pedaços. Mas os papéis são aspirados pelo seu aspirador robô, que os reúne em novos poemas a partir dos fragmentos que dedica à Alexa da casa. Adalberto e o robô então juntam-se e perturbam o mundo da literatura, e o deles também. Mateus Lana é um argumentista e realizador brasileiro.
Teacher Adalberto, heartbroken, aspires to be a poet and awaits a publisher’ response to his work. But the book is rejected, destroyed into many pieces of paper, all sucked up by his robot vacuum cleaner, which gathers them into new poems from the fragments and dedicates them to Alexa, the virtual house’s voice assistant. Adalberto and the robot then join forces and disrupt the world of literature, and their own as well. Mateus Lana is a Brazilian screenwriter and director.

Men have always killed each other. But now they have become more efficient. Civilisation has been destroyed. The survivors, in the forest, watch its rebirth. Although the air is toxic, there are already children breathing it. A woman walks through the forest and frees a child slave. Their relationship awakens the remnants of a humanity that was thought to be dead. Selected for the Nantes and Trieste film festivals.
Eumbok Restaurant MSG - Ho-Seung Son- 4’30’’ (Coreia do Sul) - WORLD PREMIÈRE
O dono de um restaurante, Kim On, perde o seu paladar como castigo depois de várias críticas negativas. Para não ter ninguém a julgá-lo, abre um serviço de comida ritual, ou seja, para a celebração dos mortos. Amaldiçoado, tem de sobreviver cozinhando um prato novo todos os dias do ano, 365 dias para apaziguar um espírito. O realizador So Ho-seung tem mais de 30 prémios e selecções internacionais, nomeadamente nos festivais de Chicago e Nova Delhi. Este filme foi selecção do Rhode Island International Film Festival, entre outros. O realizador também apresenta “National Pension” no Fantasporto 2026.
Restaurant owner Kim On loses his sense of taste as punishment after receiving several negative reviews. To avoid being judged by others, he opens a ritual food service, in other words, for the celebration of the dead. Cursed, he must survive by cooking a new dish every day for 365 days to appease a spirit.
