O olhar de uma câmara passa por duas mulheres que estão em frente uma da outra e vai fixar-se numa outra, mais atrás, que é muito bela e que parece alheada de tudo. Mas as aparências podem esconder o horror. O premiado realizador e argumentista Van Poynton é conhecido por “ Monsters Go” (2009) ou “ Late Men” (2013).

Rue is a deaf teenager who moves with her family to a village surrounded by forest after a serious accident. There she meets three other young girls who integrate her into their group through cruel games. Rue gives in, with no way out. The director began filming in 2021 with “Fango”. This is her sixth short film. Selected for the Frightfest Festival in London.

Dois homens e o filho de um deles, o jovem Martin, partem para a floresta. O objectivo principal é ensinar Martin a caçar. Medo e aprendizagem juntam-se relutantemente. Mas, para os adultos, tudo faz parte do crescimento do rapaz. Contudo, ninguém conta com o que lhes aparece à frente. Esta é a primeira realização de Martha Ayerbe, que também escreveu o argumento. Na produção deste filme está, entre outros, J. A. Bayona, realizador de “ Orphanage”, “ Impossible” e “ Park: Fallen Kingdom”. Selecção do Festival de Sitges.
Two men and one of their sons, young Martin, set off into the forest. The main objective is to teach Martin how to hunt. Fear and learning come together reluctantly. But for the adults, it is all part of the boy’s growing up. However, no one expects what lies ahead. This is the first film by Martha Ayerbe, who also wrote the screenplay. The film was produced by J. A. Bayona, among others, director of “The Orphanage”, “The Impossible” and “Jurassic Park: Fallen Kingdom”. Sitges Film Festival selection.
