Um ensaio poético, uma ode ao mar, que não tem nenhuma figura humana no seu centro, mas apenas pegadas na areia, ecos e a presença através da ausência. É através desta ausência que a essência do espírito humano se revela melhor. Como escreveu Kahlil Gibran: «Deve haver algo estranhamente sagrado no sal. Está nas nossas lágrimas e no mar.»
A poetic essay, an ode to the sea, which has no human figure at its centre, but only traces in the sand, echoes, and presence through absence. It is through this absence that the essence of the human spirit is best revealed. As Kahlil Gibran wrote: “There must be something strangely sacred in salt. It is in our tears and in the sea.”

An analogue animated film based on a self-observation experiment, made with a conscious abandonment of premeditation in favour of an intuitive method of development. We travel through free-flowing thoughts and emotional states, paralleling the world that is happening inside and around us.

PART OF THE SYSTEM é um curta-metragem experimental de documentário sintético, encenado como um diálogo unilateral entre creativeworkers e o sistema que ameaça substituí-los. A única voz que se ouve é a do sistema. Os creatives invisíveis que o questionam permanecem sem voz. À medida que as imagens oscilam entre a abstração e imagens mais nítidas, a linha entre ferramenta e criador, crítica e cumplicidade, torna-se difusa. Questiona a autoria, o consentimento e o preço da conveniência num mundo onde as ferramentas começam a defender-se a si próprias.
PART OF THE SYSTEM is a short experimental synthetic-documentary staged as a one-sided dialogue between creativeworkers and the system threatening to replace them. The only voice heard is the system’s. The unseen creatives who question it remain unheard. As visuals shift between abstraction and clearer imagery, the line between tool and creator, critique and complicity, is blurred. It questions authorship, consent, and the price of convenience in a world where tools begin to argue for themselves.

Along the banks of the Salaca River in rural Latvia, a haven emerges where analog film wizards and aspiring apprentices unite. At this pop-up school, the art of filmmaking intertwines with botany, folklore, and magic, weaving a tapestry of creativity and tradition.

Danica, Dragica, Duška gira em torno de Zora, a deusa eslava do amanhecer que encarna identidades tanto singulares como plurais. Ela surge quer como uma única figura, quer como uma tríade de irmãs que representam o nascer do sol, o meio-dia e o pôr do sol — o passado, o presente e o futuro. Juntas, são as guardiãs do tempo. As três avós da artista dão o título à obra. Diz-se que a deusa habita no Palácio do Sol, reinando sobre o cosmos. Acredita-se que, em momentos de batalha, ela baixe o seu véu, protegendo os guerreiros favorecidos do perigo. A obra posiciona Zora como uma figura central, presidindo às mulheres guerreiras contemporâneas e às suas vidas quotidianas.
Danica, Dragica, Duška revolves around Zora, the Slavic goddess of dawn who embodies both singular and plural identities. She either appears as one figure or as a triad of sisters representing sunrise, noon, and sunset— the past, present, and future. Together, they are guardians of time. The three grandmothers of the artist give their title to the work. The goddess is said to dwell in the Palace of the Sun, reigning over the cosmos. In moments of battle, she is believed to lower her veil, shielding favored warriors from harm. The work positions Zora as a central figure, presiding over women contemporary warriors and their daily lives.

A lonely programmer must leave his digital shell to experience that true connection cannot be programmed. An unexpected glitch forces him to confront his repressed anxieties about human contact and prove that even in the age of automation, human closeness is irreplaceable.
