Adaptando a irreverente banda desenhada de Johnny Ryan, “Fuck My Son!”, Todd Rohal transforma uma premissa deliberadamente ofensiva numa explosiva mistura de terror, comédia negra e gross-out, onde o choque, o absurdo e a sátira caminham lado a lado. When a woman decides to help a seemingly helpless elderly lady she finds by the side of the road, she and her daughter are lured to a remote house, where they find themselves at the mercy of a, let’s say, dysfunctional family. The matriarch makes her an outrageous and disturbing demand: the only way to survive is to satisfy the desires of her grotesque adult son, a recluse who is treated like a child. Based on Johnny Ryan’s irreverent comic “Fuck My Son!”, Todd Rohal turns this deliberately provocative premise into an explosive blend of horror, black comedy, and gross-out cinema, where shock, absurdity, and satire go hand in hand. Premiering in the Midnight Madness section of the Toronto International Film Festival, the film proudly embraces the exploitation tradition, relentlessly pushing the boundaries of bad taste and its audience endurance.
