O problema é que a casa não é realmente uma casa, mas um estúdio de televisão: uma caixa negra, construída com meia dúzia de peças de mobiliário, onde a escuridão substitui as paredes. À medida que a família tenta sobreviver a uma sucessão de fenómenos inexplicáveis, a fronteira entre representação e realidade começa a desfazer-se. São actores? Quem está por detrás da câmara? Realizado por Cristian Ponce (“History of the Occult”, “The Kirlian Frequency”), “Family Fears Another Night of Terror” é um exercício de terror televisivo que transforma o próprio dispositivo audiovisual numa casa assombrada, explorando a relação entre ficção, espectador e realidade. Com efeitos analógicos, uma atmosfera claustrofóbica e uma inquietante sensação de limbo, o filme converte a televisão num portal para o sobrenatural.
Every night, a family of four faces the terror of living in a haunted house. Except the house is not really a house, but a television studio: a black box, built from a handful of pieces of furniture, where darkness replaces the walls. As the family tries to survive a succession of inexplicable phenomena, the boundary between performance and reality begins to dissolve. Are they actors? And who is hiding behind the camera? Directed by Cristian Ponce (“History of the Occult”, “The Kirlian Frequency”), “Family Fears Another Night of Terror” is a piece of television horror that turns the audiovisual device itself into a haunted house, exploring the relationship between fiction, the viewer and reality. With analogue effects, a claustrophobic atmosphere and an unsettling sense of limbo, the film transforms television into a portal to the supernatural.
