Após a morte trágica da sua irmã Shiloh, uma entusiasta de escalada e desportos radicais, Jax aceita participar numa homenagem proposta por Luce, uma amiga da irmã igualmente aventureira e destemida. As duas viajam até à Tailândia para fazer uma perigosa travessia suspensa no Monte Kwan, mas um deslizamento de pedras deixa-as presas a 900 metros de altitude, sem possibilidade de regressar ao solo.
