Nesta selecção de curtas-metragens de Solveig Nordlund, o real e o imaginário cruzam-se em quatro histórias inquietantes. Em “Nem Pássaro, Nem Peixe”, uma mulher traduz para português o conto “The Silver Key”, de H.P. Lovecraft, enquanto Randolph Carter — interpretado pelo documentarista Robert Kramer — abandona o quotidiano em busca dos sonhos de infância. Em “Uma Voz na Noite”, Isabel de Castro é uma mulher solitária despertada pelo telefonema de um desconhecido que procura companhia nas horas de insónia. “Journey to Orion” adapta J.G. Ballard numa viagem espacial rumo a Orion. Por fim, “Espelho Lento”, a partir de Richard Zimler, transforma um espelho numa passagem para o passado, alterando para sempre a vida de Carla e da filha. Quatro incursões pelo fantástico, onde tempo, memória e realidade deixam de obedecer às mesmas regras.
In this selection of short films by Solveig Nordlund, reality and imagination intersect in four unsettling stories. In “Nem Pássaro, Nem Peixe” a woman translates H.P. Lovecraft’s “The Silver Key” into Portuguese, while Randolph Carter — played by documentary filmmaker Robert Kramer — abandons everyday life in search of his childhood dreams. In “Uma Voz na Noite”, Isabel de Castro plays a lonely woman awakened by a phone call from a stranger seeking companionship during the sleepless hours. “Journey to Orion” adapts J.G. Ballard in a journey through space towards Orion. Finally, “Espelho Lento” based on Richard Zimler, turns a mirror into a passage to the past, forever altering the lives of Carla and her daughter. Four journeys into the fantastic, where time, memory and reality no longer obey the same rules.
