Nova Iorque, verão de 1998. Sayo é um fotógrafo e pequeno traficante que vive nas margens da cena nocturna da cidade. Quando Vince Marlowe, o seu amigo de longa data, amor não-correspondido e estrela de cinema em ascensão, o convida para uma festa numa mansão isolada no campo, Sayo aceita, acompanhado pelo amigo Ross, à procura de uma noite de excessos. Mas, à chegada, descobrem que a festa é, afinal, um encontro com três mulheres misteriosas – Billie, Wren e Cata –, cujo estranho propósito os arrasta para uma teia de sedução e terror. Realizado por Corrin Evans, “Corpus” é um body horror erótico, queer, surreal e visceral, que nos enamora com a sua música pulsante, perigo e sensualidade, ao mesmo tempo que nos arrasta para uma espiral de drogas e auto-destruição. New York, summer 1998. Sayo is a photographer and small-time drug dealer living on the fringes of the city’s nightlife scene. When Vince Marlowe, his longtime friend, unrequited love and rising movie star, invites him to a party at an isolated mansion in the countryside, Sayo accepts, bringing along his friend Ross in search of a night of excess. But upon arrival, they discover that the party is actually a gathering with three mysterious women – Billie, Wren and Cata – whose strange purpose draws them into a web of seduction and terror. Directed by Corrin Evans, “Corpus” is an erotic, queer, surreal and visceral body horror that seduces us with pulsating music, danger and sensuality, while dragging us into a spiral of drugs and self-destruction. Starring Jeff Wahlberg (“Euphoria”), Lily Cowles (“Antebellum”) and Nuha Jes Izman (“Yellowjackets”), it premiered worldwide at Fantasia.
